If SOPA is passed, we will say goodbye to all of our favorite websites which will ultimately cause a domino effect within the United States economy and the whole world in itself!  Any website that might have infringing content will be shut down, and if our websites are shut down so will part of our economy.  This SOPA bill will cause more damage than it will do good, and that is why so many online companies such as Wikipedia and others have opposed to this madness.

This SOPA bill has also broken records to being the largest online protest in the history of the internet!  As of today, SOPA has been shelved and when it happens we must be ready once again.  In my opinion, SOPA will NEVER happen because if we like peace in the world we best keep it the way it is.  The censorship of the internet and the free speech online will ultimately not damage our own good, but our world in general.

Basically, this huge statement from the Iranian Cyber Army is to try to get global recognition that they can do such devious activities.  Now that they’re getting global recognition, it’s a possibility that they might step it up to a whole new level.  As mentioned within the BlackhatGuide chatroom, it wouldn’t be surprising if something else even bigger will happen within the next couple of weeks.  Twitter is bascially the “King” of social media, and if they can hack Twitter with a simple DNS redirect, who knows what might happen next!

As mentioned within the BlackhatGuide chatrooms, there are two reasons for why they did this.

1) Bragging rights claiming that their team the “Iranian Cyber Army” hacked Twitter

2) It would cause everyone who visited that site to get a virus with an exploit hackers call a “XXXXX XXXXXXX”

They could easily have millions of machines controlled within 1 day.  This will make them possibly the LARGEST zombie network in the world, being able to control millions of machines making them do various tasks!  This is a huge statement from them that they have control and can possibly take down any website!
