Making Money on Cinco De Mayo 2012

What is “cinco de mayo” and what do I care about this day? Well … for internet marketers any holiday is a day to capitalize and make money! There is always a way where you can make money off of a holiday. Internet marketers take this opportunity to promote various products across many networks and offer bonuses and discounts just because it is a holiday! There are many different ways where you too can capitalize on this idea.

Cinco de mayo 2012 is also a good keyword where you can rank on Google for as you can generate a massive flow of traffic immediately through the use of Google trend keywords. There will most likely be a huge spike in traffic for today’s keyword “cinco de mayo 2012″ where people all over the Americas will search and see what is the latest news on this holiday. It is of course a Mexican holiday, but many people even in the United States are celebrating this day as another excuse to get wasted and party piss drunk.

Google cookie stuffing

I just thought that this was funny when Google had this logo today of the Cookie monster. It reminded me of a method in which Blackhat internet marketers used to implement with Google logos. I’m not completely 100% sure how the method goes, but basically it’s getting traffic from Google’s logos.

When Google produces a new logo, people tend to search for them, and there is a high search on that day for that specific logo. You can find various Google logos within this link here : http://www.google.com/logos/ . It shows the various logos from the past that Google uses to spice things up.

What Blackhat internet marketers would do for a certain period of time, was try to rank for specific keywords from Google logos. For example, on November 2, Google promoted this logo “Day of the dead 09″. It would be fairly easy to promote such a keyword as this, since it’s probably not ranked at all. If you search on Google “”day of the dead 09″ you will see that there is little to no competition at all. Getting some ideas now?!? =]

As you can see, this method could be extremely lucrative if done right. You can rank easily for some of these logos that Google will put out there, and you will see a surge of traffic to your site for a short period of time.
